Ibukun Efuntayo & Company (IEC), a leading firm of Estate Surveyors and Valuers in Nigeria’s Real Estate, has been appointed as part of the leasing team for the new Circle Mall (formerly Osapa Mall), in Lekki, Lagos.
This was made known last week by Emmanuel Efuntayo, Principal Consultant, Ibukun Efuntayo & Company.
Speaking on the appointment, elated Efuntayo, who thanked RMB Westport, a South Africa based real estate investment management and development firm and developers of the Circle Mall, for the appointment, described it as a welcome gesture. He also stated that he and his colleagues at Ibukun Efuntayo & Company consider the appointment as a vote of confidence on their competence and expertise.
“We appreciate and thank RMB Westport, for appointing us as part of the leasing team for this project; it is indeed a welcome gesture and, for us at Ibukun Efuntayo & Co it is a vote of confidence on our competence and expertise”, he said.
Efuntayo further disclosed that the Circle Mall project is the second in the history of the partnership between RMB Westport and Ibukun Efuntayo & Co. According to him IEC was part of the leasing team for the Ikeja City Mall, Alausa, Ikeja also developed and managed by RMB Westport.
He said, “This is the second time we will be working with RMB Westport. Our first project with them was the Ikeja City Mall. This is why we strongly feel this second appointment from them is an indication that they recognise and appreciate our expertise and competence in the retail leasing business”.
Describing the Circle Mall which is strategically located at the Jakande Roundabout on the Lekki-Epe Express Way, Lagos, Efuntayo said the complex features a premium retail section and a Business Centre.
According to him, while the retail section features California-style Open Mall convenience shopping that accommodates 10,800m2 of exceptional quality retail space and 373 exclusive parking bays among other facilities, the Business Centre which is adjacent to the retail section accommodates 3,700m2 of A-grade international quality office space with 72 dedicated parking bays among other facilities.
Efuntayo also disclosed that Shoprite, a leading retail brand in Nigeria is the anchor tenant while negotiations are on-going with other potential sub-anchor tenants.
With this appointment, Ibukun Efuntayo & Co will be joining Broll Property Services Ltd., and Estate Links Ltd., the other two members of the team, to lease both retail and office spaces at the new Mall.
It would be recalled that Ibukun Efuntayo & Co is currently renovating the City Mall, Onikan in Lagos Island, and retail spaces in the facility are currently being leased.
