Legend Extra Stout Excites Consumers with ‘Taste & Tell’

Legend Extra Stout, Nigeria’s fastest growing stout brand from the stable of Nigerian Breweries Plc. is set to excite its teeming consumers; across Lagos State with a new in-bar campaign tagged ‘Taste & Tell’. The campaign which kicked off on Friday, October 3, 2014 will run for five consecutive weekends in selected retail outlets across Lagos state.

According to Emmanuel Agu, Marketing Manager Legend, Gulder and Life, Nigerian Breweries Plc., the campaign is a follow-up to the re-launch of Legend Extra Stout earlier in March this year. It aims to reinforce in the consumers the unique great Legend taste, as well as to educate them on the key attributes of Legend Extra Stout

Agu said: “You will recall that earlier in the year, we presented Legend Extra Stout to our consumers in a new premium packaging with stanoil foil and metalized labels, in line with the brand’s tradition of continuous innovation. These in-bar activations are aimed at both reinforcing the fact that, despite the repackaging, their Legend Extra Stout still retains that unique bitter taste.

The Marketing Manager also disclosed that the campaign which will hold in designated bars across Lagos State promises to be fun-filled as it will feature music supplied by renowned DJs, comic performances, celebrity guest appearances, ‘Taste a Legend’ games and raffle draws where participants will stand a chance of winning fantastic prizes.

Agu described the ‘Taste a Legend’ as the high point of the in-bar activations. According to him participants will be engaged in a blind taste exercise where they taste several unidentified drinks and will be asked to identify the Legend brand.

“Participants who correctly identify Legend Extra Stout will be rewarded with fantastic prizes”, Agu added.

It would be recalled that Legend Extra Stout recently concluded the 2014 edition of its annual ‘Real Deal’ promo where the brand took 30 lucky Nigerians to Dubai in the United Arab Emirate for a N1 million shopping spree each. Millions of Naira worth of instant air time was also won by consumers.

Over the years, Legend Extra Stout has continued to position itself as a credible stout of choice, full-brewed the way an original stout should, giving Legend the credibility to be called the ‘Real Deal’. This sincere proposition has sustained the brand s’ steady market growth since the re-launch and acceptance in 2009.
