The first phase of the Gulder Ultimate Search 10 Anniversary promo which commenced on Friday, August 2, will end on Friday, September 20, 2013. The anniversary promo is part of plans by Gulder beer, the premium national beer from the stable of Nigerian Breweries, to reward Nigerians in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Gulder Ultimate Search. The programme is Nigeria’s first 100 per cent local content reality TV show which was first aired in 2004.
The GUS 10 Anniversary Promo is crown-cork based. Mr Emmanuel Agu, Marketing Manager, Gulder, Legend and Life, said about the promo mechanics.
He added: “All a consumer has to do is to buy a bottle of Gulder, check under the crown cork for a code and send it to 20388, to stand the chance of winning recharge cards worth N200. The total value of the recharge cards up for grabs under the GUS 10 Anniversary Celebration is N70 million and there is no limit to the amount of airtime consumers can win. Numerous Nigerians have already been credited with the airtime.”
Mr. Agu urged consumers to request for bottles of Gulder with the 10th anniversary commemorative label to boost their chances of winning. He also asked consumers not to throw away their away crown corks.
He added: “Consumers still have the opportunity of winning airtime before this promo ends on Friday, September 20. Each SMS costs N10.”
The second phase of the Promo will commence almost immediately, precisely on Thursday, September 26. This phase, which is the GUS 10 Fans’ Edition, will see a lucky consumer driving home the grand prize of a brand new Mitsubishi Pajero 3.0L GLX MT.
For the first time in the 10-year history of Gulder Ultimate Search, viewers will get to be part of the search under this phase. To participate, they will be required to provide correct answers to questions from clues related to the programme as transmitted on TV. After several weeks, 12 contestants will be shortlisted for a one-day final search, from which one winner will emerge.
On the rationale behind the promotion, Mr. Agu noted: “This is the Gulder brand’s manner of saying “thank you” to the numerous viewers of the GUS that have made the programme the number one reality TV show in Nigeria.”
